Lampstand Candle Co. was founded from a simple desire: to bring our Catholic faith into the everyday rhythms of our home.

We are a husband and wife team based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, raising our son and building this business together. Every candle is designed, tested, poured, labeled, packed, and shipped by our family. From the very beginning, we wanted Lampstand to reflect not only our love for beautiful craftsmanship, but also our love for the Catholic faith and the home we've built together.

Like many Catholic families, we found that moments of prayer, reflection, and togetherness often happened around the warm glow of candlelight. Yet as we searched for candles that reflected both the beauty of our faith and the quality we wanted in our home, we found very few that did both well.

We believed there could be something more intentional.

A candle that wasn't simply inspired by Catholicism, but thoughtfully developed from it.

Every Lampstand candle begins with a question:

What does this mystery, sacrament, feast, or biblical moment truly mean?

From there, each fragrance is carefully crafted to reflect its deeper significance. Every scent is chosen to evoke the beauty, symbolism, and theology behind its name, creating an experience that draws the senses into the story it represents.

Our faith journey has shaped every part of this company. My wife was raised in the Catholic faith, and I entered the Church as an adult. Together, we've found that our faith continues to shape our marriage, our family, and every candle we create. Lampstand was born from that shared journey and our hope of bringing the beauty of the faith into everyday life, one candle at a time.

Our hope is that lighting a candle becomes more than part of your daily routine. We hope it becomes an invitation to pause, to reflect, to pray, and to draw near to God.

Our name comes from the vision of St. John in Revelation, where he turns and sees seven golden lampstands surrounding Christ. Throughout Scripture, lampstands are symbols of light, presence, and faithful witness. That image became the foundation of our company and our mission.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches in Albuquerque, New Mexico, using 100% soy wax, premium cotton wicks, and non-toxic, phthalate-free fragrance oils, along with carefully selected materials that meet the standards we would want for our own family. From the wax and wick to the fragrance blend and burn performance, every detail is refined with the same care that inspired the candle's meaning.

As a small family business, we have chosen to grow slowly and intentionally. We believe quality is never rushed, and every order that leaves our workshop reflects the care and attention we would give a gift for our own home.
